Moliannwn ein Crist gogoneddus

Moliannwn ein Crist gogoneddus,
  Emmanuel gweddus i'r gwan!
Disgynodd o'i wych ardderchogrwydd,
  A safod yn rhwydd ar ein rhan:
Jehofa â'n natur ymunodd,
  Y Gair wnaed o'i wirfodd yn gnawd;
Mawr ydyw ein henwog Waredwr -
  Mae Ior ini'n Brynwr a Brawd!

Rhaid ydoedd cael Duwdod i'n cadw,
  A dyndod i farw'n ein lle;
Caed Iesu i'r gwagle i lanw:
  Gwir Dduw a gwir ddyn yw Efe;
Ein natur ddyrchafwyd i'r orsedd;
  Daeth rhyfedd anrhydedd i'n rhan!
Ffordd rydd sydd
    rhwng daear a nefoedd,
  Dyrchefir rhyw luoedd i'r lan.

Mawr ydyw dirgelwch duwioldeb!
  Mae Duwdod mewn undeb â dyn -
Dwy natur sydd berffaith yn Iesu,
  Er hyny nid yw Ef ond UN;
Nid ydyw i'r gwan yn rhy uchel,
  Ac nid yw'n rhy isel i'r Nef,
Mae'n addas Gyfryngwr i'r ddwyblaid,
  Ein Dyddiwr bendigaid yw Ef.

gwelir:
  Mawr ydyw ein henwog Waredwr
  Mawr yw dirgelwch duwioldeb

Let us praise our glorious Christ,
  A worthy Emmanuel for the weak!
He descended from his brilliant supremacy,
  Who stood readily on our behalf:
Jehovah and our nature he joined,
  The Word voluntarily made flesh;
Great is our renowned Deliverer -
  The Lord is a Redeemer and Brother to us!

It was necessary to get Divinity to save us,
  And humanity to die in our place;
Jesus was found to fill the empty space:
  True God and true man is He;
Our nature was exalted to the throne;
  Wonderful honour became our portion!
A way he gives which is
    between earth and heaven,
  Some hosts are raised up.

Great is the mystery of godliness!
  Divinity is in union with man -
Two natures are perfectly in Jesus,
  Despite this he is still only One;
He is not too high for the weak,
  And he is not too low for heaven,
He is a suitable Mediator for the two parties,
  Our blessed Comforter is he.
